Style Jukebox

Jukebox Style was a high-resolution audio and video cloud streaming and storage player for Windows, iOS, Android and Windows Phone platforms. A web reader is also available for Mac, Windows and Linux. Style Jukebox allows users to download their personal music collection from their computer to Jukebox Style servers and listen to them from another compatible device (Android, iOS, Windows, Mac and Windows Phone) by streaming or downloading songs for playback offline. Basic accounts have 10 GB of storage. Pro accounts can have up to 2 TB of music. As of July 2016, Style Jukebox had more than 250,000 registered users. On December 1, 2017, Style Jukebox discontinued its service with a very small article on its homepage, and no other details have been released.

Jukebox Style includes cloud-based services for user management, music storage and programming interfaces (APIs); and clients for streaming and storing music on desktop and mobile operating systems. The download is only available on the desktop client. Style Jukebox allows users to drop music files and folders into the music player to be automatically downloaded and synchronized with the Jukebox Style cloud services and made available to all other users’ computers and devices on which the client Jukebox style is installed. Jukebox Style cloud-based services automatically transpose formats to match the formats supported by the device. For example, a 320kbit / s WMA file is transcoded to MP3 at 320kbit / s on iOS devices and FLAC lossless is transcoded into lossless WMA on Windows Phone devices.
